Why The Todd Law Office?

James W. Todd

James W. Todd was born in Ahmadi, Kuwait and grew up in the middle east, where his family was posted while working in the oil industry. He returned to Oklahoma with his family shortly before the Iranian revolution. James graduated from Jenks High School, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma.

After college, Mr. Todd served as a police officer and detective with the Sand Springs Police Department. There he obtained certifications in a variety of areas including bloodstain spatter pattern analysis, crime scene investigation, narcotics investigation and other fields. He attended the D.E.A. clandestine laboratory course at the F.B.I. Academy in Quantico Virginia and, as a member of the Department’s Special Operations Team, attended a number of long range rifle courses and served as a team sniper.

After leaving law enforcement, James obtained his law degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. He was licensed and admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 2003 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

James served as a felony prosecutor for the Tulsa County district attorney’s office before opening a private criminal defense practice in 2004. His primary practice is in the areas of DUI Defense, Drug Charges including Drug Trafficking and Drug Possession, and Criminal Defense.
